Multi Development and Morley have announced their
intention to support Julian House, a local homeless charity in Bath.
Every year Julian House has to raise about £300,000 from voluntary donations - in order that it can delivery its various services to homeless men and women. Although the charity receives funding from local and central government this falls well short of what is needed. Some of incidental costs that Julian House has to bear include:
£5 Fresh socks for a homeless client
£20 A week's washing powder for the Julian House laundry
£30 Starter pack to help a client into a flat
£45 A proper meal for the 18 clients in the night shelter
£95 First-Aid course for a Julian House staff member
£1400 A new commercial washing machine for Julian House

Multi Development and Morley are engaging with the local community at different
levels. In October, a class of Year 2 children from Widcombe
Infant School presented various items
representing life in Bath
today for 6-7 year olds, for burial in a time capsule onsite in March 2008.
Items included currency, a copy of The Bath Chronicle and The Times, a
programme for a Bath Rugby match, drawings, issues of The Beano postcards of
Bath Abbey among other items and aims to provide later generations with a
local, regional and national picture of this moment in history.
