The launch of SouthGate Bath will create an approximate 1,500 retail jobs within Bath City Centre. SouthGate Bath has linked up with West at Work, a partnership project aimed at developing and supporting the economy by making sure that local people have the appropriate skills and opportunities to meet employers' needs, both now and in the future.

The project helps ensure that training and recruitment is accessible for local people so they can gain the skills employers want and secure jobs. To help in this, the partnership has established a delivery group of local service providers including B&NES, Jobcentre Plus, Connexions, the colleges and training providers.

Jobs and Training Bus

The West at Work partners have teamed up to create a jobs and training bus, which is touring the district giving the opportunity to apply for jobs across the area, including positions at SouthGate Bath. The bus also gives job seekers the chance to learn more about training opportunities for people to brush-up their skills.
