We recently ran a competition on Facebook to find a budding food blogger who'd be willing to take on the challenging task of dining at one of our restaurants. The winner was James Cribb who chose to eat at Cosy Club. Keep reading to find out what he thought. Warning: may induce hunger!
One of SouthGate’s original bars and dining spots is the ever popular Cosy Club. Described as “Industrial-chic meets kitsch Victoriana”, this bustling and vibrant eatery has an expansive menu selection to satisfy a wide range of palettes, combined with some great value for money offers throughout the week. Brunch, sandwiches, burgers, tapas and a selection of multinational mains are all on offer to tantalise the taste buds, as well as a sumptuous selection of puddings to finish you off!
The beef brisket burger is a great alternative to your standard quarter-pounder, coming with a sprinkling of crunchy, crispy fried onions and a silky stilton and truffle mayonnaise, and for the sweet of tooth, the “Mini Pudding Sharing Plate For Two” comprises chocolate brownies, macaroons, lemon posset, salted caramel shortbread and boozy cherries - calorie counters beware!
Key offers to take advantage of include any brunch dish and any size hot drink for only £7.95 (available Monday – Friday between 9am-11.30am). Tapas Tuesdays offer any 3 tapas dishes and a glass of wine for only £12.50 (after 5pm), and for those looking for a "teatime tipple” you can choose any two cocktails for just £9.95 (between 4pm-8pm Sunday-Thursday).
If you’re local to SouthGate, the chances are you’ve already tried what Cosy Club has to offer. If not, go check out what you’re missing.
