We recently ran a competition on Facebook to find a budding food blogger who'd be willing to take on the challenging task of dining at one of our restaurants. The winner was James Cribb who chose to eat at Prezzo. Keep reading to find out what he thought - we can guarantee you'll be craving some of this delicious Italian cuisine in no time!
Prezzo, situated conveniently right next to both the train and bus stations, is a perfect spot to stop for a wide selection of Italian treats. From antipasti, olives, flatbreads and calamari, to a carefully selected range of pizza, pasta, meat and fish dishes, you certainly won’t be stuck for choice when dining here.
Highlights to look out for include the Posh Pepperoni pizza, comprising Salami Milano, Calabrese sausage and salsiccia piccante accompanied by sweet roquito chillies, rocket and the customary mozzarella and tomato sauce. Truffle oil infused fries are a must if you are feeling particularly indulgent. However, if a light snack is more to your taste, be sure to ask for the lunchtime deal menu where you can choose from a range of delicious flatbread sandwiches served with fries for a reasonable £6.75.
For those counting the calories, there is a “light” menu for both pizza (all under 600 calories) and pasta (under 650), served with side salad. The main dish salads are also not to be ignored - the chicken, bacon and avocado salad served with stone-baked garlic bread is another lighter alternative, yet doesn’t pull any punches with flavour because of this.
Students get a generous 25% off food when showing a NUS card, and there are always a range of great offers on the Prezzo website, so be sure to check that before you go!
