Introducing Off The Record (OTR)

We’re working with four amazing charities throughout 2023/24 via our Giving Box. Located in SouthGate Place, customers can use contactless payment to easily donation £3.

Off the Record Bath and Northeast Somerset (OTR) improves the emotional health and wellbeing of young people. They want every young person in Bath and Northeast Somerset and beyond to be emotionally healthy, confident and empowered in themselves.

They provide a range of free services for anyone aged 10-25 living, working or studying in B&NES. These include counselling, listening support, youth participation, advocacy, support for care leavers and a LGBTQ+ focused youth group.

Where your donation goes

Your donation to Off the Record B&NES will help a young person experiencing a mental health crisis to access free, independent counselling or listening support in Bath, Keynsham or Radstock.

Listening Support is a 20-minute 1:1 session with a trained Listening Support Worker (LSW) that gives a young person space to be heard, and work in a solution-focused way to identify the best way forward for them.  Young people can refer themselves and receive eight listening support sessions with a trained volunteer or member of staff. CLS is often a first point of contact with our charity and a first opportunity for young people to talk about their mental health.

• £3 will help a young person with their travel costs to attend a session.
• £10 buys a young person the chance to be heard in a listening support session
• £30 buys a counselling session for a young person in crisis
• £100 buys six weeks of one-to-one support for a young person at breaking point
