Parking at SouthGate Bath

Our car park is conveniently located beneath the shopping centre, situated next to The Gym Group and Morrisons. You can find us using our postcode, BA1 1TP.

Emissions-Based Tariff

To support Bath’s Clean Air Zone and align with other local car parks, SouthGate Bath has an emissions-based pricing structure.

Charges are based on the carbon dioxide (C0) emissions (or engine capacity) & fuel type of your vehicle held by the DVLA.

Charges are lowest for the Ev’s and less polluting vehicles, highest for more polluting.

Where DVLA does not hold the vehicle data, or the licence plate is not displayed according to DVLA rules, the most polluting charge will apply for the duration of the stay.

Standard Tariffs (Based on vehicle emissions)

Up to 3 hours £5.70 to £7.50

Up to 4 hours £7.60 to £9.80

Up to 6 hours £11.40 to £14.90

Up to 8 hours £15.20 to £19.50

Up to 12 hours £16.00 to £22.20

Overnight Parking (6pm – 5:59am): 50p to 65p per hour – based on vehicle emissions.

Please note: Vehicles already parked before 6:00pm will automatically switch to the overnight tariff from 6:00pm.

Motorcycles: £3.00 per 24-hour visit (12am to 11;59pm)

(Please note: multiple visits in one day are charged separately)

Parking Features

Total spaces: 876, including dedicated bays for parent & child and Blue Badge holders

Motorcycle parking: Available on Level -1 at the rear of A lift core.

Height Restriction: Maximum vehicle height is 2.1m

Electric Vehicle Charging Points: Available on each of the 3 levels, adjacent to Lift core A.

Payment Information

SouthGate Bath operates a ticket-less and cashless parking system:

· Drive in and the barrier will lift automatically

· When ready to leave, enter your vehicle registration at any payment machine

· Card & App payments only.

· The barrier will lift automatically upon exit.

· QR codes for online payments are displayed on the tariff boards situated in each lift lobby entrance.

Rail Users Parking Zone

Located on Level -3, this area is reserved for National Rail users.

· Charged at the National Rail daily rate

· Applies Monday to Friday only, excluding Bank holidays.

*Railway users are to validate their car registration at the station platform pads to successfully apply the National Rail daily rate.
