Summer days out at SouthGate Bath

Everything you need in one place for an incredible family day out

From a huge range of shops and restaurants and cafes with children’s menus and outdoor dining plus kid-friendly stores to big movies at the Everyman Cinema, there’s so much to do all day long at SouthGate Bath this summer.

 

1.   See big new movies at the Everyman Cinema

Summer 2024 is full of amazing new releases including Furiosa (24 May), Despicable Me 4 (12 July) and Inside Out 2 (14 June).

Everyman Cinema is one of the most welcoming places to watch a film in the UK with discounted prices for seniors, students and regular Baby Clubs (enjoy a film while the team brings you delicious hot drinks and slices of cake). Tasty menus include sharing plates, burgers, hot dogs, pizzas, sundaes and the unmissable cookie dough.

2.   The best places to eat in the sunshine

Want to soak up some summer rays? SouthGate Bath has gorgeous outdoor seating at Cosy Club, Pizza Express, GBK, Nando’s, Ludo’s Sports Bar and Kitchen (also the perfect spot for seeing this summer’s biggest sporting moments including Euro 2024, Wimbledon, the Paralympics and the Olympics), Franco Manca and Chandos Deli. And don’t miss Prezzo’s new summer menu of tasty pizzas alongside The Summer Gousto set menu for groups of 12 or more with two courses from £20 and three courses from £26.

 

3.   Kids-friendly restaurants and free menus

SouthGate Bath is home to so many children-friendly restaurants and cafes. Discover brilliant discounted children’s menus all year round with the always popular Burger King, Pizza Express and Pret.

Comptoir Libanais have a brilliant kids menu with £5.50 meals of flatbreads, wraps and mezze platters lightly sparkling fruit drinks; Franco Manca does pizzas and a soft drink for just £10 between 12-3pm Monday to Friday while their kids’ menu features seriously good pizza, a drink and ice-cream for £8.25.

Brewdog is also family-friendly during the day with puppy play dates with dog ice-cream sundaes and will be showing the Euros Championship 2024. Their kids’ menus feature £5.50 for cheese toasties and chicken strips with Hoppy Meals for £7.50. Kids also eat free during the holidays!

Nando’s famous Nandinos meals have chicken strips, wings with side orders of corn on the cob and fries with either a juice or bottomless frozen yoghurt for £6.25 while Cosy Club offers all-day breakfasts, mac cheese, spaghetti and meatballs and pancakes from £5.95 on their kids’ menu.

Many of our cafes, shops and restaurants (including YO!, Be At One and Giraffe) also offer student discounts. During the school holidays, kids can eat for free or for just £1 at leading cafes and restaurants at SouthGate Bath so keep an eye on our offers page.

And for afters…

4.   Discover smart shopping with the kids at SouthGate Bath

We’re home to some of the best fashion, beauty, food and gifting stores in Bath making Click & Collect and everyday shopping easy. There are also plenty of kid-friendly clothes and shoes stores including Zara, Office, Accessorize, H&M and JD Sports if you need to pick things up while you’re here with the family.

Visit our kid-friendly stores too: My Small World and Smiggle have fun toys and colourful stationery.

Don’t forget there are always exclusive discounts for students, Blue Light card holders and NHS workers plus there are plenty of loyalty memberships to take advantage of.

 

5.   Easy parking and buses to get to SouthGate Bath

EV ChargingIt’s super easy for families to get here. If you’re travelling by train, you’ll find us just opposite Bath Spa train station. If you’d prefer to drive to us then we have more than 800 spaces at the SouthGate Bath car park, with dedicated bays for parents with children and 12 electric car charging points. There are also spaces to park your bike at The Vaults and in level -2 in the car park.

 

6.   Family-friendly essentials at SouthGate Bath

Our toilets, including disabled toilets and baby-changing facilities, are located next to The North Face.
