Summer Installation 2024

This year, we’re supporting the city in celebrating 60 years of Britain in Bloom – for which Bath was the first winner, back in 1964! Since then, the city has won 15 awards, and been a finalist 25 times. This year, Bath is also nominated in the prestigious RHS UK Finals – the most important floral competition in the UK.

Our summer installation sees the centre transformed into a spectacular English garden, with tumbling floral arches at either end of St Lawrence Street, and colourful trailing foliage garlands above our stores.

For 2024, we’ve also partnered with St John’s Foundation – one of UK’s oldest charities – on our summer selfie station. Founded in 1174, the Foundation’s aim was to alleviate poverty and chronic living conditions in Bath by offering shelter to those in need. Over the past 850 years, the charity has played a vital role across Bath and North Easter Somerset, and on average, supports 3,500 individuals every year.

Visitors can make a £3+ contactless donation at our summer selfie station, with all funds going directly to support individuals and families experiencing difficulties with financial security, health, education and employability, as well as those with challenges within their home environment.
