We invited @sophie_lily_ to #SeizeTheDay at SouthGate Bath, here's what she had to say:

"I’ve lived in Bath for 4 years, and there is just something about this city that never stops giving. It’s like a spark that never goes out. From the famous Christmas Markets, to food and literature festivals, to carnivals and city-wide campaigns, there is always something going on.

But at the heart of the hustle and bustle of this glorious city is SouthGate Bath. With its incredible selection of shops, restaurants, bars and even a cinema, you’ll never run out of things to do in this picturesque shopping centre.

So when SouthGate Bath invited us to #SeizeTheDay and spend a day out there, we jumped at the chance of a day in the sun perusing some of our favourite spots. They always have lots on, of which you can find here.

We first headed along to Boots, which is a staple in any shopping trip for me. I enjoyed looking at (and trying) lots of what was on offer at the skincare and beauty counters. They have a great mix of affordable and luxury brands to suit anyone’s budget, as well as lots of friendly experts on hand to provide advice. After lusting over it for ages, I bought the new Fenty Skin Total Cleans’r and Fat Water Toner Serum.

As we approach slightly cooler weather, I was on the hunt for a nice pair of transitional trainers. I checked out the selection at JD Sports, hoping to find something casual that I could dress up or dress down. After trying on a few pairs, I settled with a great pair of white Nike Air Force 1’s.

SouthGate Bath looked so lovely in the sunshine, we couldn’t resist lounging for a bit and enjoying some vitamin D in the sun trap of their seating area, before nipping into Typo. Stocking a range of funky stationery and lifestyle items, this is my go-to place for gifts. I picked up a lovely plant pot for a birthday present and some must-have stationery for work.

Before heading to the cinema, I also just had to go into Kiko Milano, who sell cruelty-free makeup. The water-activated eye shadows are my all-time favourites, and I wanted to pick up a few more shades to add to my collection.

For our evening entertainment, we opted for Tivoli. A gorgeous luxury cinema in the heart of Bath, this really is a picture-house experience you won’t forget. Stunning decor paired with great food and drinks is a winner for us. Plus, it has the most Instagram-able bathrooms on the planet - trust me! We indulged in a pizza, cocktails and a few sides, before heading into the screen. Lounging on velvet couches, we watched ‘Respect’ which told the life story of Aretha Franklin. We’d definitely give it five stars for incredible music, outfits, and an inspirational story of a powerful woman. I couldn’t think of a better way to watch it than snuggled on the luxe Tivoli sofas.

Finally, no day out would be complete without cocktails at Cosy Club. Whilst they also do great food, it’s the cocktails that are our favourite. They have an extensive menu, with lots of offers too. My favourite is an English Garden!

What a lovely time we had! It was so fun to indulge in a bit of me-time in my favourite spots. No matter the occasion or company, SouthGate Bath has so much to offer for a wonderful day out. So, how will you #SeizeTheDay?"
